Environmentally Responsible
At the Castle Bed and Breakfast, we make it a priority to be
environmentally and ecologically responsible. The following is a
list of efforts on our part to protect ourselves, our guests and our
planet.
- water conserving devices in toilets / showers
- we recycle paper, plastic, cans, tins, and glass
- any used one sided paper is placed in the fax machine to use the
other side
- we line our waste baskets with used shopping bags
- compostable waste and backyard compost goes to our community
compost sites
- we buy products in bulk or concentrate to reduce packaging
- when ever possible, laundry in hung to dry -- all white sheets
are hung to dry
- most cleaning, laundry and personal care products used in The
Castle are non-toxic and environmentally friendly
