The Town of Minnedosa
Minnedosa has recently acheived a 5 bloom status in the provincial
communities in bloom competition.
The Town borders on Lake Minnedosa, with a sandy beach for swimming,
boating and fishing. 44Km north is Riding
Mountain National Park with year-round resort recreation in
a wildlife sanctuary.
Things to See and Do in Minnedosa:
- Spend a day
at our beuatiful lake and beach
- Heritage Village Museum
- Walk to
all amenities; Golf Course and the
Beach in 10 minutes, the Museum and Main St. shops just two minutes
away. School playground and tennis courts are just across the
footbridge.
- The lake,
marsh nature trail and valley make an April to October bird watcher's
paradise.
- Minnedosa
has an 18 hole golf course - and others are nearby, there are
18-hole courses in Wasagaming, Brandon and Neepawa.
- Minnedosa
has their very own herd of bison - Easy viewig access on the trails
and from the highway.
- Music festival
on the August long weekend. Features favorite bands from the Classic
Rock years ('70s - '80s) Rockin' The Fields
- Walking
trials, hiking, biking, fishing and camping.
- In winter,
ski downhill at Ski Valley. Only five minutes away, it features
five runs with T-bar and rope tow. Excellent cross-country trails
abound locally.
